Boyd Exell has retained his title at Royal Windsor Horse Show after an interesting three days of competition.

A smooth a clean dressage test with the striking Carlos and Celviro in leader positions put Boyd and his team into first place on Thursday.

A change in the team for the marathon saw Daphne step into Carlos's leader place alongside Celviro and Demi joined Alonso as the wheelers. With the experienced Daphne by his side the younger horse went confidently around the 8 obstacles set in the grounds of Windsor Castle. The super smooth round by Boyd's pupil Edouard Simonet meant that team Exell needed to step up their game for the final day.

The team layout stayed the same for the cones and they pulled off a super round to bring home the win for the second year. Unfortunately after a beautiful few days, the heavens decided to open during the prize giving and everyone ended up getting rather soggy, but spirits were high and team Exell head home with another win under their belts.
