We are proud to announce that the sponsorship of team Hughes is now complete as Rebecca and Ruby have joined Gareth Hughes as Woof Wear ambassadors.
As I am sure you are all aware, Gareth has been a major player on the dressage circuit over the past 10 years. Having amassed more than 30 National and International Titles including International wins at Small Tour and Grand Prix, both in the UK and abroad. He represented Great Britain at the Nations Cup in Rotterdam in 2012, was short listed for the 2011 European Championships and long listed for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Winning team Bronze at the 2013 Europeans and silver at the 2014 WEG with team GBR.
Gareth is a trainer for the World Class Excel Squad, to the Australian Event Team and is a member of the World Class Performance Squad.
Rebecca is the ultimate multi-tasker, not only is she wife to Gareth, mother to 8 year old Ruby, a very effective trainer of all levels including Young Riders and Eventers, but also a British Dressage listed judge and a successful business woman running Classic Dressage alongside owner Julia Hornig. She is also renowned for her ability in sourcing, producing and competing young horses. Rebecca has competed successfully Internationally at Small Tour with many placings in the UK and abroad. At Grand Prix level, Rebecca partnered Lorraine Sattin's Rubini Royale and is looking forward to having him out competing again this summer. Over the years, Rebecca has won several Young Horse Championship titles with horses she has sourced and produced. Both Classic Goldstrike and Classic Flamboyant did her proud in 2015 finishing 2nd and 3rd in the National Young Horse Shearwater Championships.
It's always exciting when Rebecca brings her young horses out and we can't wait to see what this fabulous lady has up her sleeves!
And last but not least, 8 year old Ruby Hughes is an up and coming young dressage rider who enjoys pampering her pony Johnson. Following in her parent’s footsteps, Ruby started off in the Pony Club with the fabulous Bramble and is now competing Johnson at BD Preliminary level with the help of family and friends. She’s definitely one to watch for the future!
We are thoroughly looking forward to a successful relationship with the team at Hughes Dressage.
